4th of July

Our 4th of July was spent with Devon's Family here in Arimo. His brother Daniel and his wife Michelle and their 3 kids stopped by on their way back to Ohio. Calvin and Megan and their 3 kids were here from Rock Springs. Sean and Spring and their 2 kids were here on the 3rd. Stefani and Roger (Dev's parents) also came to enjoy the festivities. The kids loved playing outside, chasing the chickens, jumping on the tramp, riding the little motorcycle, and playing in the sprinkler. On the 4th we went to the parade that they do down in town and the kids got lots of candy. Then we went over to the park where the kids could play games and run wild. Devon participated in the pie eating contest where he took second place. Way to go hun! We had a big potluck lunch at the park(it was delicious) and the raffle followed. The town is trying to raise money to buy new playground equipment so we had a raffle to start off the fund raising. I won a quilt and a hand built wood tic-tac toe game. Roger won a soccer ball which he gave to Maya. During the raffle some people showed up who were giving away free puppies so of course we took one. Her name is Lizzie and she is a cocker spaniel. The kids loved playing with the puppy and were sad that their parents wouldn't let them have one of their own. After the raffle the famous soft-ball game took place and I know that the boys had a blast playing in it. Devon has looked forward to this game since last years game and having his brothers there made it even better. After our fun at the park we went back to the house and just hung out. That night we had a BBQ and enjoyed having company. Thanks to everyone who came, we had a great time and we can't wait until next year's 4th of July celebration.
