Sampson

In November 2010 Devon's Uncle Mark died in his sleep. Mark was a great man and he is missed by all who knew him. A few weeks before Mark passed away we were at his house looking at getting a pony for the boys. While we were there Devon got extremely interested in Marks "very large" horse. Mark bred this horse specifically for him and it is a Pertron Arabian mix, so it has the Pertron size and the attitude of an Arabian. After Mark passed his wife Michelle called Devon and asked if he wanted the horse. Of course he did :) So now we have a new horse who is HUGE and is a little wild. Honestly, he scares me a little. But actually he has been a pretty good horse and Devon is to the point that he can get him saddled and can sit on him. The pictures above are of Sampson being saddled for the first time and the boys watching from the window. When the weather started warming up I would constantly look outside and see that Logan had crawled under the fence and was standing next to Sampson trying to pet him. SCARY!!! Luckily, Sampson seems to like Logan and has never freaked out while he was standing there. Sampson might be large and a little crazy but we love having a part of Uncle Mark here at our home!
